Is the act helping, do you think it’s a good thing or a bad thing – vote yes for good, no for bad!
The legislative groundwork for the Hate Crime and Public Order Act was laid through rigorous debates, public consultations, and a thorough legislative process.
The Act’s passage was not without controversy, as it sought to tread the fine line between protecting individuals from hate crimes and preserving freedom of speech.

while dealers and robbers roam the streets officers of a depleted force have to waste time on thousands of name calling complaints , this just clogs the system and genuine complaints take longer to surface not good all round thought up by idiots

Free speech is at the core of the safest most egalitarian successful societies ever devised. Violence is wrong, but words and ideas are not violence. People must be heard so that they do not resort to violence. This law is so badly defined it is open to abuse. Specific acts such as death threats should be illegal, but someone not liking what you say should not be a crime.

A very badly thought out bill as already being evidenced in the waste of professional police time
